TO: experience how the total mass of a resting body affects its tendency to remain at rest.
Hypothesis: (Not every lab will need a hypothesis, but when your lab has two variables in the TO that likely are part of a cause/effect relationship, a hypothesis will be needed.) As mass increases, the tendency to remain at rest will increase.
Materials: meter stick, 1 cup, 3 pennies, scissors, 1 marble...
Q/A/D: (Questions/Answers/Data....etc.)
6. data table, bar graph Be certain both are labeled correctly!
7. .......
Be sure to look over all of the following BEFORE bringing me your journal!
Check your task objective(s) before you submit your entry. Did you meet the objectives?
If you had to write a hypothesis, did you write it in terms of the variables?
Do your answers prove that you completed the task?
Do your answers support your understanding of the objective or the hypothesis?
If you had to create data tables or graphs, are they properly labeled? Does your graph have a meaningful title?
When
you are sure that you have handled all of the above, bring me your notebook so
that I can check your lab for accuracy.
