AGENDA for AFTER the TEST
This should look very familiar!!! I asked you to do this a few weeks ago so that you would have some of this in your vocabulary as we move through geology.
A. Look through your notebook.
B. Did you complete ALL parts of the material below? It is expected that you will be able to have a basic-level discussion of each of these tomorrow.
1. Continental Drift Theory (You will need headphones. View and take notes. Who presented this theory? Upon what evidence did he base this theory? What were the problems with the theory?)
a. After viewing Sea-Floor Spreading Theory, record in your notebook what this new information did for Wegener's Continental Drift Theory.
b. Summarize Hess's Sea-Floor Spreading Theory in your notebook.
3. Plate Tectonic Theory - This is the current working theory used to explain earth's geologic phenomena. Write a simply summary of this theory.
4. BrainPOP: Plate Tectonics
If you have completed all of the above and you still have time in class, it is time to start reviewing for PASS. I fully expect all of my kiddos to score "Exemplary," the highest rating on PASS. However, you and I also know that you'll probably need to brush up on some things in order to do that. Review games are here. (You may play with a friend if all tests have been completed.)
