Individualization Day

NOTE:  Please see me if you were absent on Thursday, 8/27 for our science basics quiz.  If you did not take the measurement pretest, you'll need to take that immediately.

Agenda

1.  After recording your homework, leave your agenda open to the month of December.  I will be giving you some log-in information that you are to write on this page.  Begin working while you are waiting for me to give you that information.

2.  Carefully read over and fill out the Individualization Day handout.

3.  Select the correct activities from the menu below and continue to follow the instructions on the handout.

4.  ALL students must complete the required activity; HOWEVER, if you have weaknesses, you need to work on those FIRST.

5.  If you complete all of your work for today, you may work on your lab report which is due tomorrow.

* = Be sure to complete the graded quiz after the activity.  The grade will be sent to my account and will be part of your average.

scientific method Quia Matching

Quiz (requires a secret word)

  • I borrowed these from another teacher.  Some terms may be slightly different and in the matching game, the terms law and theory are used.  We have not discussed these yet, but you can still guess about them.
  • Play the matching game first. When you are confident that you are better at the scientific method, take the graded quiz.

calculating volume (formula) Explore Learning Prisms and Cylinders Activity A
  1. After joining my account, open and follow this instruction guide.  All work goes in your notebook.  You do NOT have to do the volume of a cylinder.

  2. When finished, take the five question quiz at the end.
