Have you visited and viewed the field day page?   Have you viewed the PowerPoint that explains the different events taking place?  You may take up to ten minutes now to view the information or view it tonight at home.  Come back to today's agenda when you are finished or in ten minutes!

Topography:  You will turn in this activity tomorrow.

   a.  Review the vocabulary list for topographic maps.

   b.  Complete the Exploration Guide while working with the Gizmo "Reading Topographic Maps."

CHANGES TO EXPLORATION GUIDE:

Part C # 3 requires you to take screen shots and print.  Since I cannot provide you with a printer, this part is optional.  If you decide to do it, turn it in tomorrow.   I will use it to provide you with "exchange points" for the graded questions in the EG or under the Gizmo.  For example, if there is a question about "relief" that you miss on the graded portion, but you have relief correct on your print-out, then I will give you credit for the question.

Additional changes:  a)  Do only ONE map.   b) "In addition, label any hills, ridges, valleys, or depressions that you see. You can name the mountains, valleys, and other features if you like!"  You may not have all of these, so you can only label what exists on your map.

   c.  On Wednesday, you will submit your Exploration Guide answers, so make sure you complete the entire EG BEFORE coming to class on Wednesday.

   d.  On Wednesday, you will be given time to answer the five questions at the bottom of the Gizmo.  Remember - do NOT do this before you submit your answers to the Exploration Guide on Wednesday.
