Friday, February 12, 2010 - Agenda

1.  Be sure to record your homework!  (If you were absent on Wednesday or Thursday, please be certain to come here during RECESS for make up work.)

2.  If you have not already done so, view the BrainPOP titled "Tides."  Take the quiz at the end, but you do not have to report your score to me.  This is an overview only.

3.  Go to www.explorelearning.com.  Today you will work on the Gizmo called "Tides."

    A.  Exploration Guide:

        i.  Pick up the EG from my table (or click on the EG to open an electronic version).

        ii.  Complete it carefully and thoroughly, taking notes and answering all of the questions in your notebook.  If the narrative gives you new information, you should write it in your notes.

        iii.  When you have finished the EG, you will turn in your answers electronically.  We will return to the computer lab on Wednesday, February 17 for you to submit your answers.

    B.  Gizmo assessment questions:   When you have successfully finished the EG and you feel confident in your understanding of the Gizmo, return to www.explorelearning.com and answer the five questions provided under the Gizmo.  You do NOT have to do this until next Wednesday when we return to the lab, but you may do it early if you feel that you are ready.

4.   View BrainPOP's "Seasons" as an introduction to next week's topic (some of you may have viewed this already).  Again, you should take the quiz based on any notes you take while viewing the BrainPOP, but you do not have to report the score to me.

5.  Finally, if you have extra time in class, you may work on the Exploration Guide for Moon Phases that was assigned on Wednesday, February 10.
